Joseph Genovese, DO, FCCP
Dr. Joseph Genovese joins North Shore Medical Arts, LLP after fourteen years of solo practice specializing in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, Sleep Medicine and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Genovese received his BS degree in Cardiorespiratory Sciences from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He completed his medical degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY in 1987.
Following a Rotating Internship at The Methodist Hospital of Brooklyn he completed three years of Residency Training in Internal Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Genovese became a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine, receiving his board certification in Internal Medicine in 1991.
After his residency training, Dr. Genovese completed a three year fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and sleep medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
Dr. Genovese is the Medical Director of the Respiratory Care Program at Molloy College in Rockville Centre, NY. He is an Adjunct Professor of Medicine for the Biology Department at Hofstra University having taught Pulmonary Medicine in the Physician Assistant Program. He is an adjunct clinical professor of Critical Care & Pulmonary Disease of Touro College of Ostheopatic Medicine. He is the medical director of the United Sleep Lab in Bethpage, NY.
Dr. Genovese currently maintains privileges at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY, North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY, and Long Island Jewish Hospital in New Hyde Park, NY.
